Charge your own students by card
Send a payment link on WhatsApp for any amount you set. Your student pays by card, the booking is confirmed, and the money is yours. No card machine, no booking system to build, no monthly software bill.

A $60 lesson you sold yourself costs you $5. Above $100 it is 5% — a $200 package costs $10. No monthly fee.
Only when we bring the student
You keep 80% of any booking that comes from the marketplace. You never pay this on a student who was already yours.
However your country pays
Stripe in more than 100 countries, straight to your bank — now including Costa Rica, Indonesia, Peru, South Africa and Morocco. Bank transfer, Wise or SINPE Móvil wherever Stripe does not reach, or if you prefer.

Every season we teach people who get good in two weeks and then fly home. Next year they start from zero, and so do we.
After a lesson you log the session for your student in one short form: what they worked on, what to practise next, a rating per skill. It stays in their account this year and the next, and it says you were the coach. When they come back — or land at another beach — the next coach picks up where you left off instead of guessing.

The waves count themselves
If your student owns an Apple Watch, they start a session before they paddle out and the app records it: waves caught, longest ride, top speed, how long the pop-up took, the map of where each wave started.
After the lesson you go through it together. Their progress stops being your opinion against their memory — it is on the screen, and it is the reason they book the next one.
Straight talk about the marketplace
Your listing goes on the map for travellers searching for a lesson at your beach, and that is free. But I am not going to promise you bookings: the marketplace is young, and most of what it has sold so far, I sold myself over WhatsApp.
Join for the two things that work from day one — getting paid by card for your own students, and the log your students keep. If the bookings come later, they cost you 20% and nothing before that.

What You Need
For surf lessons. If you only sell training programs (surf skate, yoga, breathing), you just need your own filmed exercises — same account, no board or wetsuit required. A WhatsApp number is required either way: our team verifies every instructor personally and writes to you there.
Work Authorization
To teach lessons you must have legal permission to work and offer surf instruction where you operate. Selling training programs online has no such requirement.
Surf Equipment
For lessons, you provide surfboards, wetsuits (if applicable) and safety gear. Not needed for training programs.
Surf Knowledge
Formal certifications (ISA, ASI, yoga or breathwork credentials) are optional but recommended, and earn you the Certified badge in the marketplace.

Do I have to give you my bookings?
No. There is no exclusivity and no minimum. Keep every client and every channel you already have — your WhatsApp, your website, your walk-ins. Use the payment link only when it suits you.
How does the payment link work, and what does it cost?
From your dashboard you create a link for any amount, send it to your student on WhatsApp, and they pay by card. The booking is confirmed automatically and the lesson is logged against you. It costs $5 flat up to $100, and 5% above that — a $60 lesson costs $5, a $200 package costs $10. The 20% platform fee only applies to bookings the marketplace brings you.
How do I start?
Create your free account with your WhatsApp number (required — it is how our team reaches you) and complete your profile. Your lesson listing can go live right away. To sell training programs in Trainer Studio your account needs a quick verification — usually within 24–48 hours — and you get an email and a WhatsApp the moment it is done.
How much do instructors earn?
You set your own prices and keep 80% (we take 20%) on lessons and on every training program you sell. Payouts are weekly with a $25.00 minimum. How the money reaches you depends on your country — see the next question.
How do I get paid in my country?
Two routes, same 80%. In more than 100 countries you connect Stripe from your Earnings page and your money lands in your bank automatically — the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, every EU country, the UK, Australia, Japan and, through Stripe cross-border payouts, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, El Salvador, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Morocco, South Africa, Turkey and many more (there your share is paid out 24 hours after each lesson). Where Stripe does not reach — Nicaragua, Honduras, Ukraine and a few others — or if you prefer, our team pays you by bank transfer, Wise or SINPE Móvil (Costa Rica) in the weekly payout run. You add your payout details once, in Earnings → Payout methods.
Can I sell training programs, not just lessons?
Yes. Once your instructor profile is verified you get access to Trainer Studio, where you upload your own exercises and routines with video, set the price, and sell them to surfers worldwide. Surf, surf-skate and breathing programs are all welcome. Students train them with the same voice-coached player as the free AI workouts, and you keep 80% of every sale.
Do I need to teach surf lessons to sell training?
You need an instructor account, and it needs to be verified. If you are a surf-skate or breathwork coach who does not teach in the water, create the account, complete your profile and get verified — you can then sell programs without ever listing a lesson.
Do I need certifications?
Certifications (ISA, ASI, etc.) are not required to join, but they help build trust with students. You are responsible for complying with local regulations regarding surf instruction in your area.
Do I need my own equipment?
Yes. You must provide the necessary equipment for your lessons — surfboards, wetsuits, and any safety gear. Students expect a complete experience. You can indicate what's included in your listing.
Do I need a work permit?
Yes. You must have the legal right to work and offer surf instruction in the country where you operate. Surfer Worldwide is a booking platform — we do not verify permits or legal status. You are fully responsible for compliance with local laws.
